Grand Bend Kittens

Meet the Grand Bend Kittens

June 21 2023

A litter of 4 kittens was brought to our doorstep. These babies were found in a field in Grand Bend, no momma in sight (we presume the worst happened 😔). As you know we are at capacity. We really need some assistance with these babies. At a minimum these four week old babies need KMR food, eye antibiotics, flea treatment, dewormer, and we anticipate other expenses to pop up for them as well. Down the line they will also of course need vaccines and to get fixed. All of the money raised will go directly to their medical expenses! Thank you so much for your help. We couldn’t do this without you.

Please don’t drop off any found cats/kittens at the listed address. This is someone’s home – not a general shelter. We ask that you call or email us first to see if we have the space and resources to be able to take in any kitties.

Fundraiser:
Help us name the kittens! $5 to submit one name, $10 to submit 3 names.

Donations accepted via e-transfer (purrfecthavencatrescue@gmail.com) or Canada Helps https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/90688

Thank you!

It’s with broken hearts that we share our Sir Isaac Mewton crossed the rainbow bridge on the way to vet emerg, lovingly held and wrapped in a blanket. He is remembered as one of the cuddliest kittens his fosters have ever met, calling loudly the moment he saw his hoomans to be held. He was a tough cookie who battled his illness for a couple of weeks with lots of medications and frequent vet visits. Even though he didn’t have as much energy as his siblings and couldn’t gain weight he still loved to play. He was his normal self on Tuesday evening, then all at once he was fading fast- gone by 11pm. We will hold you in our hearts little buddy 💙

Charlotte and Hope are doing very well! These two girls have really bonded. Both of them are putting on weight and are energetic, spunky kittens. They are being monitored closely and given medication to manage their mild diarrhea. We are seeing nothing but improvements. We, the fosters, and the vets are all confident that their diarrhea is not caused by the same illness that took their siblings – there are multiple notable differences. They are really bringing comfort to the foster family and helping them to heal as much as the fosters are healing them. We are not quite ready to post them for adoption yet. When we do, they will go to their furrever home as a pair.

There is a young mother, cat and three kittens approximately 8 to 10 weeks old under the deck at 34 Warwick Ave. Grand Bend. Is there any volunteers that can come and trap them they are starving and will freeze to death soon as the weather gets colder they will come out with food. Should be quite easy to trap. The problem is I’m leaving the country in the morning so can’t assist. Please come and get them at your earliest convenience. They are so beautiful and cute.

If you phone a humane society they will get them. I don’t understand people just saying sorry we are full someone call humane society please instead of just leaving helpless cats and kittens
To just die because you are full. If you don’t have room and you take cats in the least you can do is call. Anyone if you have that problem. I guess if you’re full then sorry just let them die. REALLY!! I have dogs so I can’t take them in but if I found a kitten or cat I at least would call humane society to pick them up instead. Please be kind enough to call them lobo humane society..

Calling the Humane Society and other rescues is an essential step. Unfortunately the Humane Society is also at capacity and cannot accept more cats/kittens. In the city of London when rescues are full your best bet is to bring them to LACC. We do not want any kitties to suffer or die but if we do not have a place to put the cat then our hands are tied. We are always recruiting fosters and seeking donations to expand our program. To make an impact in our dire need to help so many homeless kitties please consider donating to any local rescue to enable them to take in more kittens. We appreciate your passion and concern.
