Peeky has had a rough start to life. She was found in December 2022 at 6 months old with her sister Boo in Wallaceburg. They were outside enduring the winter weather when they were discovered. They were shy, scared, and very hungry. The girls were bonded and relied on each other for comfort and support in their foster home. At first they would constantly hide together but as they realized it was safe Boo would come out and explore then “report back” to Peeky. Peeky would often hide until the humans were asleep. The kitties then came out together to explore the house and play with the resident cat and dog. Sadly, one month ago Boo ran away. We’ve been looking every day and are unable to find her even with an enormous amount of community support. Peeky was devastated. She was the more timid of the two and completely relied on her sister. She cried almost constantly for a week for her sister. As time has passed she has become more comfortable in her foster home without Boo and is spending time with her foster family during the day – humans and animals. She’s taken a special liking to resident kitty Rocky. They cuddle and play together all the time. Rocky gives her lots of attention and they sleep together. Whenever Peeky isn’t napping she is downstairs with Rocky and approaching the dog Chico every chance she gets. She has come a very long way!! We love this sweet girl but what she really needs is a forever home that already has another animal that she can bond with. Please share her story to help her find a family to love her 💙
