Ollie needs your help. She was hit by a car in the county and left in a ditch. This poor girl has suffered a traumatic eye injury, is blind, and one of her legs has a complete fracture. She will need to have the ruptured eye removed and her leg amputated. The estimated cost of her vet bills is $3000. She will likely need multiple procedures to have everything done, depending how she does under anesthetic. She is only 3 months old. She’s currently on antibiotics and pain medication. She will have a long rehab period with us, dependent on the surgeries required. In these first two days her vet bills are already $475 without any surgeries or vaccinations.
Despite all of this she is incredibly sweet. She adores affection. She is already adjusting well to her disability. She has no trouble finding her food, water, or the litter box. She even plays with toys and her own tail! She’s too strong and happy to even consider euthanasia – we are astonished by her demeanor and functionality. She’s captured the hearts of our volunteers and even passers-by!

Ollie has been with us for 4 days now. She is displaying such incredible resilience! She is an energizer bunny. She knows her way around her room at her foster’s house, finds her food and water with ease, and never misses the litter box. You wouldn’t know she is blind by the way she loves to play and gets around her room. Her first surgery is scheduled for Wednesday to have her leg amputated. Depending how she does under anesthesia she may also have her eye removed and get spayed at that time. Until then it’s mission gain weight and socialize! Ollie is going in for her surgery today! The plan is her leg amputation and hopefully also her eye removal. Please send positive vibes and prayers for a successful procedure!

OLLIE UPDATE
We just heard from the vet that Ollie’s surgery went great! Both her leg and eye have been removed. As soon as she woke up she went straight for food
